Celebrating Jim Hillier – Thursday 5th March 2015

The Department of Film, Theatre & Television is holding an event to celebrate Jim Hillier’s achievements on the evening of Thursday 5th March.

Celebrating Jim Hillier will be a social occasion organised around a series of short talks, reflecting on Jim’s significant contributions to various aspects of film studies and education. We hope to welcome an audience which mixes Jim’s colleagues from various institutions with his former students.

The event will take place in Minghella Building, on Reading’s Whiteknights campus, starting at 7pm. Speakers include Doug Pye, Lib Taylor, Charles Barr, Laura Mulvey, Alastair Phillips and Lisa Purse; the event will incorporate a wine reception, providing plenty of opportunity for conversation with friends and colleagues.

There is no charge for attending but please email ftt@reading.ac.uk to reserve a place.

We look forward to seeing you there!

John Gibbs, on behalf of the Department of Film, Theatre & Television
