Simone Knox to give Children’s Christmas Lecture

Simone Knox will give this year’s Christmas Lecture for Children, titled ‘Lights, Camera, Action: How to Make Your Own TV Show’. The much-loved Christmas Lectures are laid on every year so children can learn, in a fun and entertaining way, about some of the groundbreaking work going on at the University.

This year’s Lecture will take a look behind the scenes of television production, exploring the different elements of the process, including script-writing, directing, lighting, costume and set design – and there will be opportunities for hands-on participation too!

The Lecture will take place in the Palmer Building on 21 December 2011. Booking is essential. For further details, check out this link.

About Lisa Purse

I am a lecturer in film and write about the relationship between film style and the politics of cinematic representation. My current work looks at digital special effects and representation in the action film. I also try to find time to play the odd videogame.
