Student becomes Radio 1’s new film critic

Rhianna Dhillon, in her final year studying English and Film & Theatre, has been appointed as BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra’s new film critic. She replaces James King, and was discovered during James’ recent visit to the Department. She was invited to take part in a rigorous series of auditions alongside nine other applicants, including fellow Reading Film and Theatre student Josh Paice, before landing the job.
