Students share their views on film with BBC Radio 1

The Department of Film, Theatre and TV hosted a visit by BBC Radio 1 film critic James King and his production team this week. James asked students to debate the merits of a wide range of films, and a lively discussion ensued. Highlights of the student debate will be broadcast between 9am and 9.30am on Sunday 23 January 2011 as part of DJ Edith Bowman’s weekend show. James and his team also delivered a Q&A session on careers in the creative industries. For more on this event, see: http://www.reading.ac.uk/about/newsandevents/releases/PR344835.aspx

About Lisa Purse

I am a lecturer in film and write about the relationship between film style and the politics of cinematic representation. My current work looks at digital special effects and representation in the action film. I also try to find time to play the odd videogame.
